Guide to Motor Scooters

Touring

Suzuki Burgman

For the go-everywhere in comfort kind of scooterist, perfect for crunching miles on highways, bi-ways, and everything in between.  Often more high-powered single or twin scooters ranging from 400cc to 650cc

Sport

A little less comfortable than a touring model, but perfect for hugging the corners, maximizing lean angle, and getting after it.

Classic

Classic style with modern conveniences. Great for commuting in style with a little bit of touring thrown into the mix.

Vintage

Vintage Vespa

2-stroke manual shifters with classic style. Great for enthusiasts who love to tinker and wrench.  As the name implies, these vehicles are no longer in production; however, extensive aftermarket parts networks have developed (see our Links and Resources page).

Adventure

Gravel, pavement, dirt? Can do it all and see it all.

Mini-Bikes

Honda Cub

Scooter curious but not willing to take the plunge? Great for dipping a toe into scooters while keeping some motorcycle aesthetic.  Often includes a gearbox and manual shifting with an engine smaller than 150cc.  Honda dominates this space.
